Frequently asked questions
PEEK
Do I need a new keyboard?
No. PEEK sits above your keyboard. Nothing to take apart, no rewiring, no sensors to stick on.
Does PEEK sense key pressure?
No. PEEK has no pressure sensing; its expression signals come from how your fingers move on the keys.
How many keys does it cover?
The first generation covers a range of about 25–30 keys.
Does it work with keyboards that only have USB?
Yes, with the computer-side driver. Keyboards with a separate MIDI OUT connect directly without a driver.
Does it add latency?
Measured data pending.
ONE
Do I need to solder?
No. Parts that take force and the audio jacks are pre-soldered at the factory. You assemble it in five steps with the screwdriver in the box.
Can I use it without coding?
Yes. ONE ships with classic effects ready to play. Building new effects with a coding agent is optional.
Does it need the internet or a subscription?
No. Effects run without a network. With your own API key, development is free forever with no usage limits.
Who owns the effects I make?
You do. The effects projects and DSP code you develop belong entirely to you.
